1. Series Regulations
1.1 Title and Administration
EQUIPE 6 HOUR
The Equipe 6 Hour is an invitation race organised and administered by Equipe Classic Racing Ltd. This race is taking place at Donington Park National circuit on Saturday 5th July 2025 and will not be run as a championship. Prizes will be awarded for individual classs and 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall.
It is the intention of the organisers to create a friendly, gentlemanly race in the spirtit of the Spa 6 Hour with a feature long-distance event for eligible cars with competent drivers. A high standard of both car presentation and driver behaviour will therefore be expected.
Please note that whilst professional drivers are allowed a full professional team will not be accepted. Please call to discuss should you have any questions.

1.5 Competitor Eligibility
All drivers must hold a minimum of a current MSA National race licence for or European equivalent with FiA endorsed logo.
All drivers must be registered with Equipe Classic Racing for this race.
1.6 Registration
All drivers must be approved by and registered with Equipe Classic Racing
All drivers will be notified of acceptance before any race entry will be considered.
Equipe Classic Racing reserves the right to not accept or cancel the registration or entry of any driver at any time.
1.7 Race Entries / Cancellation
Close of entries will be 2 weeks prior to the event. Should you need to cancel your entry please inform us as soon as possible. A full refund less £75.00 admin fee will be given up to 2 weeks prior to the event. From 2 weeks to 48 hours prior to the event then a 50% refund will be given. 48 hours or less No Refund will be given.
1.8 Privacy policy
Equipe Classic Racing Ltd does not disclose buyers’ information to any third party except when order and address details are needed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

2. Sporting Regulations / Judicial
These will be in accordance with the national regulations in the country of the event.

3. Sporting regulations / Race procedure / Pit Stop
All races will be from a rolling start in the order set by the fastest qualifying time.
Grid positions will be set from the fastest qualification time, all drivers from a team must set a qualifying time.
2 madatory pit-stops will be required one of which will be for fuel and that will be a minimum of 5 minutes. Driver changes without a fuel stop can be as fast as you can.
Driver change pit-stops are permitted as often as required and there will be no minimum time set for these.
A driver may not compete for more than 2 hours 30 minutes in one driving stint and have a minimum of 30 minutes between stints.
Professional or Ex-professional drivers are eligible for this race but all teams must have at least one amatuer driver.
Trophies will be awarded separatley for Amatuer and Professional teams
Any team with a Professional driver will be classed as Professional.
3.1 Pit Stop regulations
Pit Stop regulations.
(1) Pit Stop .
- a) During the 6 hour race the pit lane will be open for the duration of the race.
- Competitors entering the Pit Lane for the Pit Stop must have seatbelts fully secured until the car has come to a complete halt in the Pit Bay.
- c) Engines do not have to be switched off for driver changes but MUST BE SWITCHED OFF WHILST REFUELLING .
- On the fuel stop, The car but must remain stationary for 5 minutes. The driver needs to get out of the car before refuelling commences and must not get back into the car until refilling has finished.Refuelling must be carried out by nominated personnel, in fireproof overalls, gloves with goggles and fire extinguisher at all times.
- Failure to comply with the Pit Stop Regulations above will result in exclusion from the results.
- f) Judges of fact will be appointed to ensure compliance.
(2) Any car not completing the compulsory pit stops during the race will be excluded from the results.
(3) WARNING: The pit lane speed limit is 60 kph and will be enforced by the use of either a speed gun or a timed pit entry and exit time. Note: please ensure your pit lane speed is not too slow as it will hold up more competitive cars.
Speeding in the pitlane will attract at 5 lap penalty.
(4) In the event of a safety car being employed in accordance with MSA Regulations the pit lane exit will be closed until the train behind the safety car has passed.
4. Race Penalties
These will be in accordance with the national regulations in the country of the event.
However, entrants should be aware that Equipe Classic Racing will monitor and discipline any poor, overly aggressive or dangerous driving and any driver or car failing to meet the standard approved by Equipe Classic Racing will receive a formal warning.
Any further infringements within a one-year period may result in exclusion from the series. The driver of any car damaged or causing damage during an Equipe Classic Racing event will also have to seek approval before they may continue to compete in future Equipe Classic Racing races.
During a pitstop race there will be a 5 Lap penalty for any single driver that does not stay stationary for the mandatory 5 minute fuel stop. Any teams not completing the 5 minute fuel stop and any team that does not stop at all will be excluded from the results.
Speeding in the pit lane will also attract the same penalty.

5. Technical Regulations
5.1 EQUIPE LIBRE General Principles
Equipe Libre will be open to any pre-1966 GT, GTS, Touring Car and GTP, (Ford GT40 is excluded) under FiA Appendix K regulations.
FiA identity papers or an Equipe Technical Passport are mandatory for this event.
A completed car specification declaration form will need to be signed by the driver and submitted before any entry will be accepted.
Additional period modifications may be accepted providing any such modifications are declared to and are agreed by Equipe Classic Racing
All cars will be accepted or refused by Equipe Classic Racing on their individual merit.
It is expected that all cars comply with FiA appendix K vehicle regulations, or will run to a period specification as listed on your driver’s declaration/registration form to be approved by Equipe Classic Racing .
For 2025 the engine size shall be limited in accordance with FiA Appendix K requirements i.e. a maximum overbore of 1.2mm over the original production engine size and standard stroke. Engine capacity, bore and stroke will be checked periodically so we suggest that you may want to have your engine checked and sealed by an MSA scruitineer.

Equipe Classic Racing reserves the right to re-classify any car into a more appropriate class if in their opinion it is considered to be in keeping with the potential performance of the car.
5.2 Safety Requirements
In accordance with Motorsport UK regulations in place at the time of the event.
5.3 Race Classes
GT & GTS Cars
Class 1 – Cars up to 1300cc
Class 2 – Cars from 1301 to 1675cc
Class 3 – Cars from 1676 to 1860cc
Class 4 – Cars from 1861 to 2200cc
Class 5 – Cars from 2201 to 2750cc
Class 6 – Cars from 2751 to 3600cc
Class 7 – Cars from 3601cc and above
Touring Cars
Class 8 – Cars up to 2000cc
Class 9 – Cars from 2001 to 3000cc
Class 10 – Cars from 3001 to 4000cc
Class 11 – Cars from 4001cc and above
Class 12 – Cars up to 2000 cc
5.4 Bodywork
Bodywork must remain as per period FIA Appendix K regulations or Equipe Classic Racing must approve any other modifications. Flared wheel arches are prohibited.
Local drilling or the cutting of holes in the front apron is allowed only to allow increased airflow to an engine oil cooler as in period.
Any additional non Appendix K regulation holes in the bodywork are forbidden along with any other form of modification to aid brake cooling.(unless listed on the HTP)
5.5 Windscreens
All cars manufactured after 1st January 1955 must run with full width windscreens as per FiA appendix K.
Aero screen are prohibited on cars after 1st January 1955
5.6 Hardtops
All cars fitted with full front and rear roll-cages must be fitted with a factory style hardtop or an aftermarket hardtop of a period appearance or must compete with the original style soft-top erected. MGB’s must run with an original works hardtop.
5.7 Wheels
All cars may use either wire spoke or pressed steel wheels. Alternatively, cars manufactured after 1st January 1961 may use alloy wheels of period appearance.
All cars must use wheel rim diameter in compliance with the period homologation of the car.
All cars must use either wheel rim width in compliance with the period homologation of the car, or up to a maximum of 5J in classes 1 and 2, and up to 5.5J in classes 3,4,5 and 6. Should your car deem it necessary due to being homologated with a smaller width.

All cars must run to the Homologated track.
5.8 Tyres
All cars running during qualifying and the Equipe 6 Hour race are allowed to run on the following tyres …
- Dunlop historic CR65 L section racing tyres
- Dunlop M Section historic tyres
- Avon ZZ racing tyres
5.9 Advertising
Equipe Classic Racing Advertising on cars, As a Historic series we expect advertising on the cars to be kept to an absolute minimum and in all cases must be of period appearance. Personal Advertising will be allowed on the front windscreen as a sunstrip to a maximum of 200mm. Equipe Classic Racing reserves the right to ask for decals and stickers to be removed should it be deemed necessary.
Space must be made available on all cars for event sponsor’s decals, and Equipe Classic Racing reserves the right to insist upon any competitor removing or covering any other sponsor’s decals if requested to do so.
5.10 Race Fuel
All vehicles May use Pump Fuel or Sunoco Racing Fuel to a maximum RON of 102.00; A full definition of pump fuel is given on page 60 of the current MUK Blue Book, but the key numbers are max RON of 100.0 and maximum lead content of 0.005 g/l.
5.11 Permitted and prohibited modifications
Any manually operated 4 speed gearbox will be permitted as long as it’s the original gearbox and casing for the car as per homologation. Internals are free. MGA / B 3 synchro gearboxes can be replaced with the later 4 synchro gearbox (as long as the car was originally homologated with a 3 synchro gearbox). Sequential gearboxes are prohibited.
Panhard rods, rear anti roll bars, watts linkages or any type of additional suspension modifications are prohibited unless stated on the FIA specification papers for that vehicle. (cockpit adjustable anti roll bars are prohibited.) Axle casing modification to help with suspension geometry are prohibited. Alloy hubs unless stated on the FIA specification papers are prohibited. Suspension pick up points must be in their original position and not modified . MGA/B front Adjustable lever arm shock absorbers will be mandatory spec for 2024 onwards.
An Electronic triggering device type of ignition will be permitted as long as it is NOT mapable and is fully contained inside the distributor. (i.e Aldon Ignitor) A 123 distributor will not be permitted nor will luminition ignition. MSD 6A And 6AL will be allowed as long as non programable.
Alloy Radiators will be permitted as long as they are the same size and position as the original item and must be painted or powder coated black if not shown as aluminium in its HTP.
MGA’s will be allowed to use a later 1800cc MGB engine and will as such be in the relevant class. MGA’s can also use an MGB front upright as a matter of safety. A sidedraft weber carburetor will be permitted.
Roller rockers are prohibited unless shown in the cars HTP.
Limited Slip differentials are prohibited unless clearly stated on the car homologation papers.
