- Existing Sports Prototype Cup and Zeo Prototypes series to merge into a new grid – Equipe Sports Prototypes
- Multi-class prototype series calendar confirmed with 6 meetings for 2025 at premium UK circuits. European series planned for 2026
- Ambitious plans announced with major investment planned from Equipe Classic Racing.
The new Equipe Sports Prototypes will provide a multi-marque racing environment for lightweight sports prototype cars, bringing together the best of both series. The goal is to build strong and diverse grids at top circuits, backed by our customer service and paddock hospitality.
The Sports Prototype Cup started in 2019 with classes for Revolution and Radical models and an open class that featured entries for cars from other marques such as Praga, Norma and Ligier. The Cup grew rapidly, being invited to be a Formula 1 support race at the 2020 Portuguese and 2021 Italian Grands Prix.
The Zeo Prototype series started in 2021, attracting some of the fastest sports racing cars in British motorsport. created by Duncan Williams, led by daughter Grace and supported by Zeo Intelligent Energy, it soon became an established British series. open to any and all sports prototypes wishing to compete. The variety is a feature of the series with the evergreen mix of various Radical models and more dedicated chassis constructors such as Juno, Ligier, Chiron and Jade joined by a number of unique and specially built models,
We are excited about this new grid and feel combining these two series will provide a stable long-term environment for existing prototype drivers and teams. This fits our strategy to grow our race content and build on our successful historic racing grids
