About this vehicle
This car started life as a Lotus Evora GT4, competing in the British GT Championship with Lotus Director Gavin Kershaw and Oz Yusuf behind the wheel. The pair finished runners-up to Jamie Chadwick in the 2015 season, recording 3 wins, 4 podiums and 4 pole positions, including a notable victory at Spa. It was also the only Evora to race with factory support.
The car was later converted to GTE specification by Dave Kershaw and Stratton Motorsport, with a wider track, Swindon engine, supercharger, and more carbon fibre components than can reasonably be listed. It was then entered by invitation in the 2017 Silverstone 500 round of the British GT Championship, driven by Le Mans racer Stuart Hall alongside Gavin Kershaw. The car was so much faster than the GT4 field that it was reportedly instructed to slow down.
Since then, the car has been raced by John Dickson, achieving several podiums, including a win at the Silverstone Festival.
More recently, it competed in the GT Cup at Snetterton, where it recorded a 1:57 lap time, putting it on the pace of the quickest current GT4 cars.
The car has been developed and refined by Lotus specialists 24/7 Motorsport. Over the winter it received an engine and gearbox refresh, and has completed only around 100 minutes of running since.
With its supercharger, smooth air powered sequential X-trac gearbox, power steering, ABS, traction control, huge tyres and serious aero package, this is a remarkably approachable and confidence-inspiring race car. It flatters even an inexperienced amateur, while still offering the performance to compete at the sharp end — all at a fraction of the running costs of a comparable GT car
