- Race procedure / Pit Stop
For the 2026 season, all Equipe Sports Racing Cars races will use a rolling start. Exact start procedure will be communicated to the drivers at the mandatory Driver Briefing at each meeting.
For 50-minute pit stop races for 1 or 2 drivers, the grid positions will be set from the fastest qualification time. If there are 2 drivers, both drivers must complete a minimum of three laps in qualifying. The start driver must be notified to the Series Coordinator a minimum of 60 minutes prior to the race start, but the Series Coordinator reserves the right to nominate the faster driver to start in the event that a novice driver is nominated to start. The overall result will be taken at the end of the race. Overall and class trophies (as applicable) will be awarded at the end of the race.
At events with two 20-minute races, race one grid will be formed from the result in qualifying based on the fastest qualification time. The grid for race two will be formed using the finishing order of race one with non-finishers in order of retirement at the back of the grid. Changed drivers starting race 2 will start from the finishing position of race 1 .
Where there are 2 x 20-minute qualifying session and 2 x 20-minute races, each qualifying session provides the starting position for each race. So for clarity, first qualifying is for race 1 and second qualifying is for race 2. If two drivers take part then their time will be set against their session and race.
Where two 20-minute races are adopted, overall and class trophies (as applicable below) will be awarded at the end of race 2 based on an aggregate result of both race one and race two.
Where 2 x 20 qualifying and 2 x races are adopted then trophies will be given for both races.
Additional race formats may be introduced over the season and rules for these will be published separately in advance of any meeting (where applicable).
1st, 2nd and 3rd overall trophies are awarded.
Class trophies are awarded as follows:
- 1 or 2 starters – no class trophies awarded.
- 3 to 4 starters – 1st in class trophy awarded.
- 5 to 6 starters – 1st and 2nd in class trophies awarded.
- 7 or more starters – 1st, 2nd and 3rd in class trophies awarded.
1st, 2nd and 3rd overall trophy winners will not receive a class trophy in addition to their overall trophies. These will pass down as per the above starter numbers in each class.
Trophies will be provided for each race (as applicable) and shall be presented at the end of the race. The presentation will take place at least 30 minutes after the publication of provisional results at a location nominated by the Series Organisers.
In the event of any provisional results being revised after any provisional presentations and such revisions affect the distribution of any awards the competitors concerned must return such awards to Equipe Classic Racing in good condition within 7 days.
